Ultimate Warriors的点评
点评：I’m really sorry to say the place wasn’t appropriate for our children at all. Too much upper body stuff and not enough play. As two totally different kids ours struggled to wear the socks provided by the company so couldn’t use the main part of the room. We have ‘sticky socks’ for most activities but weren’t allowed to use those. This was an insurance issue. I had paid £20 for 2 hours, but without forcing the ‘new socks’ we couldn’t have stayed longer than 30 minutes. Both myself and my friend decided to push through with the Ultimate Warrior socks so they could explore other areas. We noticed a little dysregulated child in the same area and realised the place struggles with neurodiversity awareness in general.
I asked if anyone there was trained to support them, but we all decided together it probably came down to the general manager, who both works from home and also lives in another county...
I suggested I make contact with the company to say theirs is exactly the sort of place our children really need for movement and sensory enrichment BUT the same children also struggle with their super-sensitive hands and feet. I don’t know what the answer is, but ours spent more time sat with us regulating themselves so they could cope with the very strange socks than throwing themselves around the equipment. I did notice mine attempting a balancing activity which warmed my heart, and he never gave up. For the neurodivergent kids I teach, I would say the majority would benefit more from places like Funky Warehouse or the inflatable spaces like Jumping Fun where rules are safe but less rigid for our young thinkers!
Sorry, I felt Ultimate Warriors missed the nuances needed for total inclusion. Best for children with less quirks who can just get on with it sadly!
