Lovely day out when the sun ☀️is shining

点评：Lovely sunny day - hot but not too hot - we started our visit with coffee & cake from the cafe which was lovely. We sat outside overlooking the lawns & sculptures.
We then headed over for our tour of Moore’s house, Hoglands, we paid extra for this and it was well worth it. There were quite a lot of rules, no bags, shoe covers had to be worn, questions only at the end of the tour, stand here not there! 🫤 once you got use to that it was interesting & timing wise it felt about right.
We then headed to the learning centre, barns and outdoor buildings. It was all very well curated with lots to see, even though quite a few pieces are currently on loan to Kew Gardens.
We went back to the cafe for some lunch of salad & wraps. Everything was prepackaged & didn’t taste particularly fresh. We have been before & brought a picnic which is a better idea. There is a lovely little pub next door called The Hoops which could also be an option.
Your ticket is valid for 12 months which is a good idea, hopefully I remember this and come back again which is worthwhile if you live in Hertfordshire.
Definitely a quieter more sedate day out, but well worth it.
