点评:Sartorio Museum is a family home lived in by the same family for about 300 years. They had great wealth, so purchased a lot of art which is displayed in the house. When the last descendant died in 1996, she gave the house and contents to the city. One of the most interesting rooms is the kitchen, which retains original decoration from the 1910’s. I was amazed at how many molds there were displayed hanging up; fish for all the terrines; castle shaped; swirly like Bundt cakes; crowns; knobby tops; and all sizes too. Marble terrazzo floor that must have been a killer to stand on but easy to wash. Although the art they purchased may have been wonderful when they got it, it doesn’t appeal to me. But very interesting to see the silk embroidered wallpaper, very high-end furniture with marquetry; and some doo-dads
