点评：We had the absolute best time at “Adventures in Costume” at the Grantown Museum with our wonderful dressers and guides, Heather and Steve. We had visited the museum two days prior and were fascinated by the opportunity to be transported into the past through this unique dress-up experience. Heather was even kind enough to open the museum on a Wednesday so we could fit it into our itinerary.
What fun! We learned so much about period clothing and how it was cared for — from the undergarments to the strap-on pockets to the beautiful over gowns. Of course, petticoats, bustles, and crinolines are included! A book of options was presented featuring outfits from three different centuries. Everything is provided, from undergarments to shoes and jewelry, including your very own lady’s maid/experienced dresser to help you every step of the way.
A photo shoot followed in the garden outside the museum, and we definitely drew quite a crowd! The photos will be sent by WeTransfer so we can relive this wonderfully fun day again and again.
