点评：My review is on the tour company, panamacanaltrips.com out of Costa Rica.
Their website is impressive and professional looking but BEWARE.
In March 2026, I booked and paid on my credit card for a Panama Rainforest Tour With Embera Tribe ($608.40 for 2, including taxes) and a Partial Panama Canal Tour ($541.80 for 2, including taxes) for my holiday in May 2026.
On May 19, the tour company charged me again for the Partial Panama Canal Tour ($541.80). When I informed them that I have already paid for my tours back in March, Amanda Ramírez, International Sales and Product Manager, replied back saying not to worry, the charge is just pending. No explanations given.
Then there was a mix up with the Rainforest tour. I find out the day before my tour that they booked the wrong tour. Mistakes happen and it was rectified but I had to split the cost of the Rainforest tour with the company. Amanda emailed me to say that I would have to pay for one fare and they would cover the other. Not impressed.
The tour company deducted the one fare off the second charge of $541.80. It’s now 2 months later and I am still waiting for the difference (over $200USD) after numerous emails and phone calls on my part. Most emails to them go unanswered. If I do get an answer, it is asking me to be patient. A couple of times, they replied with, "We’ll send you the refund by the end of the week." The end of the week goes by, no refund. No explanation as to what the problem is on their end. Mismanagement. It’s 2 months later, I am still waiting.
So to be fair, I did go on the two tours I booked with this company and I did enjoy them, but with aggravation and extra costs. Not pleasant when you are on holidays.
