点评：Shillong peak is situated at 1965 meters above sea level and 10 km away from the city. We have visited the same after our first visit to Elephant Falls. This is highest peak of the city and offers panoramic view of the city. This location is under Air force control as this location serves as a radar station for the Indian Air force. One has to get the approval to enter inside and which is under continuous surveillance.
The city looks most attractive from here only when the sky is clear, as this peak is often bounded by fog due to its high altitude. There are many shops where you can shop local handicrafts and cloths. Also Food stalls are available here besides handcrafts shops.
Shillong peak is not just the highest point in shillong, but also a place of immense beauty, culture and History. Asides from city view, you can see the Bangladesh plains from the shillong peak. This is a truly unique view that can only be obtained from Shillong peak. The rare view of Bangladesh is something that one wouldn't see from any other part of India.
Tips to your Visit:
1. Personal vehicles are not allowed. There is parking area near ticket counter, where you can park your vehicle. There are permitted Taxi vehilces in which you can visit till Shillong peak. Only those defined taxi's are allowed inside Air force area other than defence vehicles.
2. You will have to pay an entry fee of 50 rupees per person and also there are charges for car Entry which I forgot.
3. Wednesday is holiday, so plan your travel accordingly.
4. A telescope is available for tourists to enjoy and get the bird's eye view.
5. Based on demand or random checkup Air force staff may ask your ID proof. That time you have to provide valid Governament ID Proof. So don't forget to carry your Valid ID Proof.

Morning 09:00 to Evening 03:30 pm.

3. 周三为假日，请据此安排您的行程。
4. 景区为游客提供了望远镜，可帮助您从高处观赏四周的景色。
5. 根据需求或随机检查，空军工作人员可能会要求出示身份证明。届时您必须提供有效的政府颁发的身份证件。因此，千万别忘记携带有效的身份证件。
