A very relaxing holiday

点评：We stayed at the gite for 10 nights -and wanted to stay for longer as enjoyed it so much. It's so relaxing being the countryside; this was our 2nd stay here (1st stayed in September 24) but was just as good/if not better - Sophie and Will love what they do / nothing was too much trouble - there were subtle changes to the gite since last time which shows they aren't resting on their laurels.
We took the opportunity whilst there to have a picnic with the alpacas - booked in advance -and were priveleged to be the 1st to have the picnic in a new area. I think the alpacas were curious as to what we were eating - and they are lovely animals - you feel safe around them.
Being there you're able to feed them most days - and I think they got used to us.
And we can't not mention the cats - Dennis, Doug and BIngo - Doug and Bingo tended to fall asleep at times with us (even the 1st night Bingo ended up on the bed as if it ha d been made for him!), and we miss them ... I'm sure Bingo did say good bye as was by the car when we left!
There is a lot to do in the area - and it's very non-touristy - in some places we were the only English car - which makes it more enjoyable - and the French appreciate if you speak French to them. But at the same time just relaxing on the gite - listening to the cuckoos and the countryside sound.
We'll definitely be back at some point - and wish Will and Sophie continued success with the farm and gite.
