点评:The temple is unusual in that is has twin entrances halls and sanctuaries with each side dedicated to different gods. The right side worships the crocodile god Sobek and the left, the falcon headed Haroeris or Horus the Elder. Much on the frontage is badly eroded because of its proximity to the Nile but on the upside, its relief carvings are quite well-preserved suffering less that other sites in the region from vandalism from Coptic iconoclasts.
Some very detailed carving remains in situ, some with hints of original colour. Quite a substantial building, and we spent over an hour here looking around. The Crocodile Museum, available on the same ticket is worth a quick look on you way out.
The temple was very quiet at the time of our visit, and we had difficulty in finding someone to sell us a ticket for a while.
