点评：We were a little concerned about visiting after reading some of the reviews but we were so happy we did. Yes car parking is £8 but there are signs that state clearly what they are spending that money on which is good. Plus we couldn’t fault our visit. The road up to the car park was in good condition with many passing places, and it looked like it had been re-tarmaced in places so there were very few pot holes. The toilets were really clean and self flushing and the path you follow is quite wide, newly gravelled and not at all muddy so only walking shoes/boots are required. We visited in early October and arrived at 9.30am so it was quiet and beautiful with no midges. I can imagine it being a very different experience in peak months but if you visit off peak and early or late in the day it is well worth the visit. Magical.
