Really disappointing birthday meal from a place we usually love
Sky Park Farm的点评
点评：We visited Sky Park Farm today as a family of five for my mum’s birthday meal. We’ve been here many times before and usually really enjoy it, which honestly made this visit even more disappointing.
The bill was well over £200, so expectations were understandably high.
My brother and I ordered the rib-eye on the bone sharer and asked for medium rare. What arrived was closer to blue. Normally the fat on this cut is beautifully rendered here, but today it was thick, chewy and completely underdone, which made a large part of the steak unpleasant to eat.
We were also offered “cheesy fries” by the waitress, but it was never mentioned they came with parmesan and truffle. Neither of us likes truffle, and it completely overpowered the dish. Had that been explained properly when ordering, we would never have chosen them.
I did stop a waiter during the meal and explained there was an issue, but he said he’d be back in a minute and never returned. When the plates were finally collected, I mentioned it to the manager (tattoos, black and white Puma trainers). His response was essentially “why didn’t you say something earlier?” despite the fact we had tried to. When I said I assumed something would be taken off the bill, he replied that we had eaten some of it.
That response completely missed the point. If you spend over £200 at a restaurant you regularly support, you expect issues to be handled professionally, not defensively.
To finish, my dad and I ordered coffees, a macchiato and a latte, and both were poor. The milk was massively over-frothed, more like whipped foam than steamed milk, and the latte was served boiling hot.

这种回应完全不得要领。如果你在一家经常光顾的餐厅消费超过200英镑，你期望的是餐厅能专业地处理问题，而不是百般辩解。
最后，我和爸爸点了咖啡，一杯玛奇朵和一杯拿铁，结果都很糟糕。牛奶打得太厚，与其说是热牛奶，不如说是奶油泡沫，而且拿铁端上来的时候还滚烫。
这家餐厅我们通常评价很高，但这次的体验却令人非常失望。以后我们会慎重考虑是否再来。
