点评:But despite the name, there's practically no water in that valley. At least when we were there in November. The famous lake, once full of it, has shrunk significantly, so one can easily reach the iconic "water cypresses" on foot via the exposed lake floor.
We parked our SUV right on the concrete dam (the entry fee for a car was RUR 600, or roughly USD 7.5), so it took us less than a quarter of an hour to walk to the trees. They still looked healthy, but their roots rose above the already cracked soil. How much longer will this Mother Nature's beauty last in such weather conditions?
We walked all the way around the lake and left, disappointed and concerned.
Please note that there's no decent eatery around. Toilets are available, numerous cheap souvenirs too. One can also buy some really light snacks, ice cream, and/or bottled water.
Parking areas outside the park's territory are abundant, but they're ill-equipped, unguarded, may be used mostly for a fee, and lie pretty far away from the lake.
