点评：The moment I walked into the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, the first thing I noticed was the air—it suddenly felt heavier. Not in a suffocating way, but in a humid, dense way filled with the scent of plants. Sunlight filtered through the tall palm leaves above, casting scattered patterns of light and shadow across the ground. The trees were incredibly tall—so tall that I found myself instinctively looking up, trying to find the tops.
It doesn’t feel like a typical park. Instead, it feels more like a vast stretch of tropical forest that has been carefully protected. The paths are well maintained, but the plants themselves grow freely and abundantly. Huge Victoria water lilies float on the surface of ponds, their leaves spread wide like giant round plates. Vines hang down from the trees, and every now and then you can hear insects in the air. Walking along the forest paths, it really feels like stepping into a completely different climate zone—almost like a different world from the city outside.
