A WIDE ARRAY OF CHRISTMAS MERCHANDISE THIS TIME

点评：Shopping in Barrington and Lee, one stop was at Elfmade & Company where I browsed my way through all the rambling rooms, nooks, and crannies filled with wonderful quality merchandise that this store is noted for.
On this visit which was during the Christmas season, the store was full of holiday merchandise that included everything from Christmas table settings and table linens, snowman-themed items, cookie cutters, fireside potpourri that contained cranberries and winter spices to stuffed animals and toys for children, artificial electric and battery-operated candles, wax candles, jewelry, and more.
The hand-poured Elfmade & Company’s own brand of candles came in some unusual scents. In addition to conventional lavender, I saw Lemon Meringue. Another was Licorice. The size I was looking at was $19.95.
One whole section had cookbooks with recipes for slow cookers, dinner in a hurry, simple meals, Sunday suppers, fall cooking, and Christmas recipes. One book called Favorite Recipes had blank pages for saving one’s own favorite recipes in one place.
Of all the things I saw, one of the most memorable was the large white metal snowflake napkin rings. I also liked some of the napkins. And, nearby was a kitchen towel with a decoration of a boot filled with candy canes.
In the section for small kitchen gadgets, I found a Pot Watcher Chicken, an Onion-Slicing Holder, a Brown Sugar Saver, and an Herb Stripper.
There was a large display of bottles of essential oils in a hutch.
The little nook between rooms for the children’s activity area was still there.
During my visit, many other people were browsing as well. One man went around the store about three times.
As always, it was enjoyable to shop there.
For all the items offered and their quality, I rate my visit at 4.75 and highly recommend a visit here and to Calef’s Country Store next door.
