点评：I loved the setup of this site - easy shuttle to and from the city centre, tickets on a phone exchanged for wrist bands, the staff were friendly, supportive when you needed and hands off if you just wanted to get on with it (health and safety is very different here - so much more laissez faire and works seemingly on the assumption that people will be sensible, which is a joy because they actually are!), equipment was fantastic - two types of skates in various sizes, two sizes of metal skate supports (zimmer frames!) and various skating seats (for kids or my husband, who could not get the hang of skating at all, so my daughter and I took turns pushing him around!); helmets in various sizes - all clean and in good condition; plenty of mats for the toboggan run; reindeer were docile and wooden sleighs were lovely; plenty of wood and toasting forks for the fire.
The site itself was large enough that it didn’t feel crowded, snow in great condition, decent food and drinks in the café (try the very light doughnuts alongside your hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows - not cheap but a nice treat), good storage (NB open, IKEA style shelving) for stuff.
After 3.5 hours, my pre-teen had had enough & my husband was cold(!), so we caught the next shuttle back. I love the outdoorsy stuff in Rovaniemi and this was certainly one I would choose again and recommend to anyone looking for something similar.
