点评：MonchsbergAufzug is a lift inside the rock of Monchsberg hill that transports visitors in 30 seconds from Salzburg's historic Old Town district to a green oasis and viewing terrace, rising 60 metres to an elevation of 485 metres. Quite extraordinary from the sound of it, but that essentially defines Salzburg's unique topography - with the city centre nestling between prominent hills, elevated ridges and rocky plateau, creating one of Europe's most picturesque urban landscapes. Upon exiting the elevator at the top, you will find yourself right at the entrance of Salzburg's Museum of Modern Art. We did not enter the museum and headed straight to the viewing terrace for spectacular views across the rooftops of the city's historic Old Town, River Salzach and Hohensalzburg Fortress perching on top of the neighbouring Festungsberg hill. From the viewing terrace, there are pathways that lead to Monchsberg hill's lush nature sanctuary for those who prefer some calm and tranquility. Access to the Monchsberg Lift is included in the Salzburg Card.
