Gender neutral but not thoughtfully inclusive, safe spaces

点评:Bar experience was ok but i feel i should add a trigger warning about the allegedly gender neutral toilets. I totally get what they were trying to do here - and I’m all for helping people to feel accepted. Really. But these loos were *so triggering* for women, children, disabled and trans people, and (more poignantly) anyone who might have experienced SA - and frankly any nice guy just wanting to take a pee without intimidating anyone.
I personally didn’t feel safe having to queue, wash my hands, or pass three guys with their penises out, to get to the one free cubicle I could use. And I still don't think anyone using a disabled loo with a cubicle that wont lock, would feel safe or respected either.
This is *not* a gender neutral, all-inclusive loo as it claims to be. Instead, this is a loo that has a piss space for everyone. And they are two very different things.
Honestly, it ruined what would otherwise have been a nice afternoon drink - and for prior or potential victims of SA could have potentially spiralled into something far more damaging. I dunno - get rid of the urinals for a *truly inclusive* but safe space, maybe?
And definitely make the disabled loo more dignified for users.
