If you're looking for an incredible birding experience in Ecuador- book a Magical Birding Tour with San Jorge Ecolodges
San Jorge Eco-lodges & Private Reserves in Ecuador的点评
点评：I wanted a guided birding tour in Ecuador. After considerable research, I chose San Jorge Ecotours and their Magical Birding Photography Tour for 18 days and then an additional 6 days with the Birding Tour. Feb 1 - Feb 24, 2025. I arrived at the airport in Quito on February 1st, San Jorge Ecotours picked me up and took of everything until the end of the tour on the 24th. Traveling does not get easier than that!
We started at the Quito Ecolodge, than to Tandyapa, Milpe, Guacomayos, Sumaco Bajo and then lodge along the Rio Napo (Amazon). The birding was incredible. In addition to the lodges, we visited numerous additional hotspots to view target species. Jorge Luis Cruz was our guide for the Photography tour and Dr Cruz was the guide fr the birding tour. Both are expert birders and customer oriented guides. I was able to see 462 species!
The rooms and facilities at the lodges were comfortable and relaxing. We had 3 meals per day, primarily Ecuadorian cuisine, which I found to be delicious. I miss now that I'm back home. The lodges and surrounding habitat are amazing...particulerly Guacomayos (an engineering marvel) and Sumaco Bajo which is a stand alone resort with 2 canopy towers.
The guides, the staff at the lodges and the drivers are all great people, helpful and very friendly. I had a great experience and I recommend them highly.
