Otherworldly and Mysterious----This Is Why You Come to New Zealand.

点评：Incredible. I was really looking forward to seeing this beach because all of my research said it was the prettiest beach in New Zealand. So I arrived with sky-high expectations and amazingly, it exceeded them. But here is the key pro tip with this beach that I think most people miss when they come here. Most people visiting this beach I think focus mainly in the big rock formations in the middle of the beach. BUT that's not the best part of this beach. The key here is when you get to the beach you want to go to the far LEFT side of the beach. When you get to the far left side you will see a large rock formation that will not look like anything special. When you get to this large rock, walk to the other side of it and THEN you will be totally blown away!
Strange rock formations.....amazing tide pools....spectacular caves that IF you have arrived at low tide (most people don't bother to check the tides beforehand so they arrive at low tide) you can walk in one side and come out the other. Finally, after 10 days in New Zealand I found that otherwordly scenery that made me feel like I was on another planet. And it was all HIDDEN on the far LEFT side of the beach on the other side of this rock! But when you first hit the beach you can't see ANY of this this because this big rock is blocking your view. I looked at my friend and she was crying---that's how moved she was by this beach!
We flew 16 hours to get here and then drove 7 hours to see this beach and I can tell you it was literally worth coming all the way from Charleston, South Carolina in the US just to see this beach. It was that stunning and THAT special---as long as you walk to the far LEFT side of this beach on the other side of the rock!
