Rude staff at apple table. Prepaid, but treated as thieves. And denied a way to carry water bottles.

点评：On a positive note, the apples were good and there were plenty available.
However, that is not why I wanted to write this review. I went to pick apples at Weber's on August 26, 2023, a hot day. I paid in advance, because that is how you make a reservation. When my family arrived, we had a few bags, and bottles of water. I walked up to the table to display my reservation, and the worker confirmed my reservation, but stated "No bags". He told me I had to return my bags to the car. I asked if I could keep something to carry the water bottles, and he said "No bags are allowed. That is the owners rule, so you have to put those bags in your car now!". So I did.
I came back and he handed me a Weber's bag. I asked, "Why?" He told me that everyone is stealing, and they are tired of checking everyone's bags. He was not nice about, and sounded like an angry bouncer.
I can understand his perspective, but I think his view is misguided. For starters, he is denying a backpack full of water to children on a hot day. That is not good. He also pre-emptively assumes everyone is stealing from him. In my case, I just wanted to collect the apples that I already paid for.
If they are struggling with theft, then measure & collect payment after they are picked. Instead, they mandate pre-payment and eyeball everyone as thieves. Additionally, if the guy would have been nice about it, there would be no issues; instead, he was rude and announced that he treats everyone as a thief, then blames the owner for making this rules.
It was an awful experience, and I left feeling lucky to get my apples. The kids were all dying of thirst when we finished, which made it worse.
