点评:Time goes quickly. I'm in my early 60s and I've been traveling as an adult for 40 years on the ferries which is going to be near a thousand trips. Over this time I've had the pleasure to see the multiple generational turnover of staff on the ferries. Generations that ran the ferries through the 60s 70s and into the 80s came from a Time where working hard and taking pride meant something along with the privilege of being Canadian.
Today was the day where I realized there was trouble in the current generation managing and operating the ferries. Usually in an organization you can tell a lot but the state of the washrooms. I've worked in big companies and can attest to this statement. I have been watching the state of the men's washrooms deteriorate steadily to the point where I chose to prolong my relief until I got off the boat. There are main washrooms on the middle level, the cafeteria level, that are very heavily used and are often full. These are not generally the cleaner of the available washrooms, so I chose to here's the more unfamiliar washrooms nearest the Sitka lounge. This is generally the cleanest washroom of the bunch, but today I found it to be completely disgusting. There's a difference between one or two ceiling cleanliness and months of neglect. I spoke to the Chief Steward about it and asked him if he had seen the same decline over the years because I believe this to be a measurement of social behavioral capability or just plain disrespect from those that are supposed to be maintaining cleanliness.
To those traveling in the future, just be prepared and don't wear any light colors.

今后出行的朋友们,做好准备吧,千万别穿浅色衣服。
