Green Camp Bali的点评
点评：My two children had been staying at the Green Bali Camp from August 1 to 14, 2026, as part of the E-explorer Bali Camp program which, according to its site and the brochure, is designed as an eco-camp. In fact it turned out to be an eco-pigsty or eco-barrack. As an agent, the Embassy Camp charged $2,680 for a four-person stay.
While the activities and excursions led by the external educators remain beyond reproach, there are serious issues regarding the food, sanitary and living conditions in the camp.
1. The food was vegetarian, which surprised all the ten non-vegetarian teenagers aged 13-17. The brochure in Russian didn't provide specific details on this matter, and no information about it is available in English. Only after the repeated requests to the Camp agents, chicken was added to the meal, served in portions though. But even this meal was meager, consisting mainly of everyday rice and beans.
2. The living conditions were appalling: there is mold on the walls and the light fixtures. The white curtains bear a subtle gray hue, as one counselor explained, due to repeated washing to eliminate years of mold.
3. The toilets outside the huts are filthy. The shower walls are plagued by mold. The washbasins are in dire condition, there was no basic hygiene items provided. The children had to purchase everything with their own funds.
4. On the first day, there was water shortage; only cold water was barely running. After repeated complaints to the agents, hot water was fixed, though it is still functioning improperly.
5. Creaky, old beds resembling bunks, doors with broken locks that barely close. Just two mirrors for a group of 10 children.
6. The kids were freezing at nights but they were not provided with warm blankets. Counselors claim it's common practice for Bali to sleep in the cold.
Polina Eletskaya and Evgenia Shmalko (Koshkaderova), the Green Bali Camp agents, responded to numerous complaints from children and parents with a single, unwavering statement: “This is normal because it's an eco-camp”.
Well, if you find it “normal” for your children to breathe in mold, lose their hair due to stress and malnutrition, go hungry, sleep in the cold, and suffer from stomach aches and digestive issues, then that is your decision. But please think twice before sending your child to such an “eco-camp”.
