The Best Investment We Could Have Made For Our Daughter's Future

点评：Our 16-year-old daughter recently attended the Campers in Leadership Training (CILT) program at Green Camp Bali for two weeks in June/July 2026, and as parents, we could not be more grateful for the experience she had.
Our daughter plans to pursue a Bachelor of Education after finishing school and is currently completing a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. We hoped this program would help confirm whether teaching and working with young people was the right path for her. It did exactly that—and so much more.
I cannot speak highly enough of everything that Green Camp Bali represents and the incredible opportunities it provides for teenagers. From its Four Pillars of Learning—Sustainability, Intercultural Appreciation, Personal and Social Development, and Nature-Based Learning—to its respect values, camp house rules, behaviour expectations, and adventure activities, every aspect of the program is thoughtfully designed. The result is an experience that leaves young people with valuable life lessons, a broader perspective of the world, and a renewed sense of gratitude for what they have.
Before arriving at camp, the CILT participants completed five virtual leadership classes that covered Balinese customs and culture, self-awareness, leadership, SMART goal setting, the Green School learning cycle, sustainability and regenerative thinking, communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and becoming a changemaker who can create meaningful impact. These sessions provided an excellent foundation and helped prepare our daughter for her support leadership role at camp.
Our daughter loved the camp activities and especially enjoyed meeting and working alongside such a diverse group of campers from different backgrounds and cultures. The evening cultural activities after dinner were a particular highlight and created many memorable moments for her.
What stood out most, however, was the incredible team of Green Camp facilitators and leaders. Every single person was kind, supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping our daughter grow. They looked after our daughter exceptionally well and taught her countless lessons about leadership, responsibility, communication, and teamwork. She particularly valued the opportunity to mentor and be a support lead to younger campers from diverse backgrounds, which strengthened her confidence and reinforced her desire to become an educator.
As parents, we were also extremely impressed by the camp's risk management, safety protocols, and overall level of care. At no point did we feel concerned about our daughter's wellbeing. It was evident that safety, security, and participant welfare are treated as the highest priorities, which gave us enormous peace of mind throughout her time in Bali.
Our daughter returned home inspired, more confident, more independent, and full of enthusiasm for her future as an educator. She has spoken endlessly about the friendships she made, the lessons she learned, and the positive impact the experience has had on her outlook and personal growth.
