✨ A Step Back in Time — Visiting New Norcia ✨
New Norcia Visitor Centre的点评
点评：We recently visited New Norcia and absolutely loved it. Stepping into Australia’s only monastic town feels like stepping back in time. The beautiful Spanish-style architecture, peaceful atmosphere, and fascinating history make it such a unique place to visit.
The guided tour was definitely a highlight, giving us the chance to see inside some of the historic buildings and learn more about the Benedictine monks who founded the town back in 1847. The museum and art gallery were also well worth exploring.
What really stood out to me was the calmness of the place. It’s quiet, relaxing, and a lovely escape from the busyness of everyday life. Whether you enjoy history, photography, architecture, or just a peaceful country drive, New Norcia is a wonderful day trip from Perth.
There’s also a deeper and more complex history connected to the Aboriginal mission and Stolen Generations that is important to acknowledge and reflect on when visiting.
If you haven’t been before, I’d definitely recommend adding New Norcia to your WA travel list. 🌿⛪✨
