No need to panic when the Go tracks team are looking after you

We were booked to do Paparoa track 15th through to the 19th Jan 2026 unfortunately when we got to the first hut, we found out that the third hut had been blocked off due to a slip which had undermined the path and there was no option to get across it safely. So the big scramble begun to try and amend our bookings for both the car relocation and for maybe another night at either Ces Clark or Moonlight Tops.
Unfortunately couldn’t stay another night at Ces Clark or Moonlight Tops so an alternative plan had to be organised.
The alternative suggestion was to finish our trip going down Pike 29 Memorial track but it all hinged on whether we could get our car relocated to there.
In what could have been a really stressful situation for us Lynette from Go Tracks made it so we didn’t need to panic and could still enjoy our experience on the Paparoa track with a detour of a leg that originally we were not going to be able to do as would have put extra time on to the tramp that we didn’t have originally. Thank you for sharing the Pike 29 track with us it was definitely worth it.
Highly recommend all of the team at Go Tracks you have all made the trip from the initial interaction to the end of the trip go seamless when we know that the disruption would have meant a big scramble at your end but the professionalism shared we were highly impressed with.
