Veuve Clicquot的点评
点评：We booked the yellow label cellar tour direct through Veuve Clicquot for 1pm on a Monday.
We travelled to Reims by high speed train from Paris (less than 1 hour). From the station we took a taxi to Veuve Clicquot (about 5-10 mins).
There were about 15 people on our tour and the guide was friendly and informative. We headed down a long staircase into the cellar where all the Veuve Clicquot champagne is stored during the making process. The tour lasted about 1 hour and finished with a tasting! The guide explained the history of Veuve Clicquot and all about the making process - a must for champagne lovers! The cellars were cool, which was much welcomed in the summer heat, but would otherwise require a jacket.
After we went to the onsite cafe for a glass of pink Veuve Clicquot and a cheese & ham board. No pre-bookings, just walk-ins. We were seated and served promptly and the food was good and not too expensive. Please note cafe is outdoors only, with parasols. After we walked back to the station (about 30 mins).
We are pleased we visited Veuve Clicquot and really enjoyed the experience.
