点评：We arrived at Picton after an hour riding our electric bikes. The entrance booth is next to the car park, out of sight of the castle and gardens. "You can't bring your bikes in" said the person in the booth. "You must leave them over there" she said pointing to the wooden fence bordering the car park. "I'll keep an eye on them" she said. "Will you take full responsibility for them?", I asked. "No" she said. I pointed out the risks involved in leaving expensive bikes, even locked up, next to a car park but she was adamant. So we left without going in. Picton lost more than £50 income from us that day.
How hard would it be to have a small area close to the castle where bikes could be parked and locked? Somewhere that an opportunist thief would not have a van or pickup conveniently parked for an easy getaway? Picton needs a re-think on this anti-cyclist policy.
