点评:Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the most beautiful and most accessible wadis in Oman. It is quite easy to reach the entrance of this wadi with a standard car (rather than a 4x4). There is a large parking lot. Upon reaching the large lake, there are facilities such as rest rooms and an open air Indian restaurant. From the large parking lot, the walk-in takes about 15-20 minutes. Note, the walk begins as a lovely wide paved sidewalk. However, the sidewalk ends and walking across large stones, small areas of flowing water, and on rough dirt/mud paths is required to reach the lake and travel along either side. I saw several visitors confused as the sidewalk ended. Some turned back - never getting close enough to see the beautiful deep pools of water set in a stunning landscape. I was the only member of my group who proceeded to reach our destination for photos. On my exit from the Wadi, I attempted to find a better route on the other side of the lake and followed a worker pushing a wheelbarrow. Much to my surprise, we ended up walking on the rather narrow concrete edges of the Falaj irrigation system until we reached the sidewalk (a bit nerve-racking and not recommended). In summary, this is a beautiful wadi but visitors need to be prepared for the walk-in conditions. Visitor access to this site would greatly benefit from route signage and, if possible, better path conditions.
