It’s not as good as it was.

点评：On holiday and called own 2nd October 2026 at lunchtime. Been here for eats several times in the past, enjoyed it hence another visit. However we were bitterly disappointed on this occasion. We went inside and found a table only to be told in a qigong abrupt manner that we had to wait to be guided to a table which we did and found ourselves sat at the same table we had occupied in the first place. The weather was a bit iffy but we decided to chance it and sit outside. We grabbed a menu, queued up and got to the till. Gave the table number to be told that if we were sat outside the meal would be deemed as a “take-away” and served in a cardboard container, paper cups (including the soup) and plastic cutlery.
I asked,tongue in cheek, if there was a discount for the food being served as a take-away away - afraid not.
I was told the reason for the change to take-away service outside (even though you are not actually taking it away) is because there is now a child’s play area next to the outdoor seating and there have been breakages which are dangerous to children. Fair enough but we were served a bottle of pop in a glass bottle.
When the food arrived a cheesy scone which was ordered with the soup didn’t arrive. I went inside and spoke to a member of staff who spoke to another member of staff and they walked into the kitchen without apology or explanation. The scone eventually arrived at our table but the whole experience was poor and unapologetic for getting the order wrong.
In addition, we both think the portion sizes are smaller if you are served as a take-away - something that others have mentioned. The staff we spoke to were abrupt and rather unfriendly - again similar to other comments
We come up to Fort William a couple of times a year and have always called here for food. Safe to say, we won’t be coming back.

送餐时，我们点的搭配汤品一起食用的芝士司康饼却没出现。我走进去后和一名工作人员交谈，他又去叫了另一名工作人员，随后两人毫无歉意也未作任何解释便走进了厨房。最后司康饼虽然送到了我们的桌上，但整个服务体验很差，他们搞错订单也毫无歉意。
此外，我们俩都觉得如果是打包带走的话，分量会更少——这一点也有其他人提到过。我们交谈过的工作人员态度生硬且不太友好——这一点与其他人的评价一致。
我们每年都会来威廉堡几次，每次都会在这里买些食物。可以肯定的是，我们以后再也不会来了。
