点评：This trip was a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity. We were willing to spend the few thousand dollars to make core memories, and for the most part.. we did. Unfortunately, our playing experience was not what we thought it would be. Now we did got for week 15, so we knew it would be a limited amount of teams, some of the foods at the park may not be available, and the weather might be questionable. The park cleanliness is on point. The staff were superior and the golf cart transport an additional plus. The thing that had us questioning things was the one team who came, that was completely out of our league. They won almost every game by a score of 20 or more to 0. But that’s not the worst part… the conduct at the facility was disparaging and disgraceful. On multiple nights, players from this team assaulted other children. They spit at our players and coaches and showed downright disrespect. Thank God our boys tried to make the best of it, but families and park ownership should know about this. From what we understand, there were several “exemptions” which allowed children over 13 to play. I’m a girl who loves an exemption, but when the size differential is abundant, it causes alarm for the safety of the other children. On top of this, the coaching staff was making disparaging comments to our players and families. It was disheartening to take the competitive memories and create an uncomfortable culture which was park of our experience this week. I’d be happy to discuss this with operational staff to try to perhaps avoid these issues in the future and just allow the kids to play ball!!
