Fisherman’s Village A Family Must Visit in Bophut
渔村步行街的点评
点评：We’re a family of five (two adults and three children aged 16, 13, and 9) staying about 15 minutes from Fisherman’s Village.
What we loved most is the vibrant yet family‑friendly atmosphere no adult bars, clubs, or loud nightlife. It felt safe and welcoming throughout our visits.
We came three times: twice for the night market and once for dinner at Charm. This quickly became our main evening spot. From 6 pm the main street closes to cars, making it easy to wander, though by 7 pm it does get busy.
The night market (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) is one of the largest on the island. Prices are fair, and haggling is possible. Stalls sell clothes, souvenirs, electronics, and plenty of food. The street food was excellent everything from kebabs, pizza, and Greek dishes to Thai favorites like pad thai and fresh spring rolls. Drinks are widely available, and there’s a large outdoor seating area. We ate well as a family of five for under £20, including beers and soft drinks.
Be prepared: in July it’s hot, humid, and crowded, which can feel uncomfortable at times.
Beyond the market, there’s a wide choice of restaurants (Thai, Italian, Indian, steak) with a focus on fresh seafood. Many boutique shops line the streets generally higher‑end, but worth browsing, especially for the air‑conditioning. Essentials are easy to find with plenty of money exchange counters, pharmacies, and convenience stores.
Traffic outside the market can be heavy, especially on market days. We had an excellent driver who arranged a minibus and knew the best pickup points, which made things much easier.
Overall, Fisherman’s Village is a must‑visit during your stay in Koh Samui lively, safe, and perfect for families.
