A Fun Way to Experience Door County on Horseback

点评：My husband and I recently visited Kurtz Corral and overall had a good time! We booked and paid online the day before, which was very easy and convenient.
The property is a little tucked away, so definitely keep an eye out for the signs as you get closer. Before heading out, we watched a short instructional video about riding and handling the horses, and helmets were available—which I really appreciated. We also enjoyed meeting the dogs and giving them a few treats before our ride!
Our trail ride lasted about an hour and took us through open fields and wooded areas. Our guide was great, and the ride itself was relaxing and enjoyable. One of our horses did have a habit of trying to take shortcuts along the trail, so there were a few moments of gently redirecting with the reins, but nothing that kept us from enjoying the experience.
The one disappointment was an interaction with another staff member who was quite curt and unnecessarily critical of my husband when he was handling his horse. We were there to have a fun experience, and I felt the situation could have been handled with a little more patience and kindness. Unfortunately, that interaction did take away from an otherwise enjoyable visit.
At the end of the ride, they take a photo of you on your horse, which was a nice way to wrap things up.
Overall, we enjoyed our time at Kurtz Corral and I'm glad we went. If you're visiting Door County and looking for a casual horseback trail ride, it's definitely worth checking out. 🐴
