点评:My family of 5 (kids 17, 14. & 10yo) did the Flavors of the French Quarter food tour. Overall it was a very good tour that had some great restaurants and was very informative from our guide. Suzanne was extremely nice, very well informed and kept the walking pace perfect for all in the group to maintain. Excellent treats and some of the best gumbo I’ve ever eaten.
My only critique is that for my family, it was too informative. We felt like it primarily was a history tour, rather than a more fun food tour that we expected. We would have rather had some highlights of the history, and then enjoy food with casual conversation and more laid back atmosphere. She continued to give background of the history of New Orleans while eating and left very little time for the casual talk. That may be perfect for some, but for us it was too heavy in the history. One could fault us for not speaking up, but we felt that would be rude during the tour.
