Visited multiple times and saw a ghost! 👻
Hell-Fire Caves的点评
点评：I love visiting as I have an avid interest in history, alongside secret societies. It's a very interesting place and I definitely recommend it.
Now for the creepy part! I was walking through the tunnels, and I can't remember exactly where abouts in the tunnels this occurred, but I was looking down at the pathway as I walked through.
I headed through into a section of tunnel, with a small alcove to the right-hand side. As I walked forward, a figure literally stepped out, and I jumped back, out of the way, thinking it to be another visitor, who hadn't seen me and accidentally walked into me.
At the time, I presumed the alcove was another tunnel, branching off into another path. It all happened so quickly, and I wasn't paying attention to where I was, and it was quite dark in this area.
I looked up and then realised that there wasn't actually anyone there.
Now, for the crazy part, as I was looking down watching where I was walking, I saw a shoe head towards me, which is why I flung back.
The shoe in question wasn't of 21st-century attire. It was a black Georgian mens shoe featuring a distinctive gold buckle and heel.
It was then that I realised that it wasn't just another visitor but a visitor from the other side!
Looking at the history of sightings, I am convinced that it must have been Paul Whitehead searching for his missing heart, but I can't be 100% sure.
Just wanted to share this experience and find out if anyone else has experienced anything similar in the Hellfire Caves!
