A brilliant way to spend time on Christmas Eve with children… or without…

点评：My husband and I went to the Christmas Eve event for children at the caves. Sadly, our grandchildren were unable to come, leaving us as the only adults without children and feeling a bit daft. Nevertheless, we decided to continue as Santa was giving gifts at the end and we wanted the children to at least have those.
The elves guiding the tour were absolutely brilliant, really great with the children whilst maintaining general safety and keeping the group together. The caves were decorated in places and there was even a live grinch in a cage. An amazingly fun experience for children, although it is a little dark in places which could make tiny ones nervous. At the end of the caves we met Santa, who was so kind when we explained about our grandchildren being unable to make it and he gave us gifts for them. The gifts were very nice indeed, cuddly reindeer in a hellfire caves scarf. They came in velvet drawstring bags. My eldest granddaughter says she’s going to use it fora shoe bag.
So, from the biggest kids on the tour, a huge thank you to all the staff at the caves from us and the children.
