Premature cancellation
Mason's Travel的点评
点评：We booked all our holiday activities through Mason’s Travel. Unfortunately, bad weather caused the cancellation of all our other reservations except for the hotel transfers.
On the positive side, the hotel transfers worked well and the service was professional. When we arrived in the Seychelles, we were assigned a contact person we could reach if needed, which suited us perfectly.
We also briefly visited the catamaran used during Island Duo cruise, and it appeared to be of very high quality, with a friendly crew.
Money refunds arrived quickly.
Bad:
Unfortunately, weather conditions caused the cancellation of both Thursday’s Island Duo trip and Friday’s Reef Safari. On Thursday we did sail about halfway on the catamaran, until the captain decided to turn back due to difficult conditions. The situation felt strange, as it had taken quite a long time before the decision was made.
The next morning, before departing for Reef Safari, we were informed that this trip was also cancelled. We understand the above‑mentioned cancellations being attributed to weather conditions.
A replacement trip for Thursday’s Island Duo was offered for Saturday, and we accepted it. However, Mason’s Travel decided to cancel this trip already early on Friday, again citing poor weather conditions. We tried to ask our contact person why the cancellation was based on weather when there was no information available about the upcoming conditions at that time. At this point communication broke down, and we received only a simple copy‑paste message about weather conditions.
The next day we woke up to one of the most beautiful and least windy days of our entire holiday. By this point we were extremely disappointed with the premature cancellation. We also tried to ask our contact person about alternative activities to replace the cancelled ones, but we did not receive any response.
I have added picture of the saturday morning. At that beautiful time, we would have been sailing to Praslin, without the cancellation.

原定周四进行的“岛屿双人游”行程被安排到周六，我们也接受了这一替换方案。然而，Mason’s Travel在周五清晨便决定取消该行程，理由依然是恶劣的天气。我们试图询问对接人：既然当时并无任何关于未来天气的预测信息，为何仍以天气为由取消行程？此后，双方的沟通便中断了。我们只收到了一条关于天气状况的简单复制粘贴消息。
第二天醒来后，我们迎来了整个假期中最为晴朗且风最小的日子。此时，我们对行程被过早取消感到极其失望。我们还试图向联络人询问能否安排其他活动来替代那些被取消的项目，但始终没有收到任何回复。
