A Hidden Gem for Beekeepers and Honey Lovers

点评：As a beekeeper from the UK, visiting the Bee museum in Rhodes was one of the highlights of our holiday.
The museum is far more than just a collection of exhibits. It provides a fascinating insight into the history of beekeeping in Greece and the Dodecanese Islands, showing both traditional and modern methods of honey production. The displays are well presented and easy to understand, even if you are not a beekeeper.
What impressed me most was the combination of education, history, and practical beekeeping equipment. I spent quite some time browsing the extensive beekeeping shop, which stocks everything from queen-rearing equipment and Jenter system components to hive tools, treatments, frames, and protective clothing. It was a real treat to find items that are difficult to source elsewhere.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy the museum at our own pace.
The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the giant honeycomb sculpture outside makes a fantastic photo opportunity. We also purchased some of the museum's honey, which was absolutely delicious and a perfect reminder of our visit.
Whether you are an experienced beekeeper, someone thinking of keeping bees, or simply interested in nature and local traditions, I would highly recommend a visit. It is clear that a great deal of passion and knowledge has gone into creating this museum.
