Croome的点评
点评：Visited Crome as our first NT site this year. Don’t know why we didn’t do it last year.
Not too far from the M5, the landscape here is stunning, with grounds heavily influenced by Capability Brown. It is a decent walk from the reception to the house but has amazing views even on a windy rainy day. The house itself has an interesting history and is slowly being restored following years of neglect. The rooms are currently virtually empty of furniture but have informative exhibits and house some interesting pieces in storage ready to be displayed. The circular route back to the visitor centre passes the rotunda which has more incredible views over the surrounding area.
Before leaving, be sure to visit the small museum to RAF Defford which has really interesting pieces on its history. The cafe is actually housed in what was a hospital ward for the airbase.
Staff across the entire site were really friendly and informative. One Lady in the museum actually features in it.
We plan to come back - on a drier warmer day !.

离开之前，一定要去参观一下皇家空军德福德 (RAF Defford) 博物馆，那里有很多关于该基地历史的有趣展品。咖啡馆实际上是由空军基地以前的医院病房改建而成的。
整个庄园的工作人员都非常友好热情，而且知识渊博。博物馆里还有一位女士的生平事迹也出现在博物馆里。
我们计划下次再来——下次选个更晴朗温暖的日子！
