Bala Lake Railway的点评
点评：We were staying nearby at Clarach Bay and made the trip to Bala Railway as a day trip. I had read a few reviews online and wasn't quite sure what to expect.
On arrival it was easy to locate, we opted to start at Bala Lake Railway - Bala (Pen-y-Bont) Station, Bala LL23 7PH location was this offered free parking and the other stations don't. We arrived around 30 minutes early and there was ample car parking. We had a nosey around, there was lots of historic things to see and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a cafe on site which has drinks, cakes and also a small shop.
The train ride was great. The views of the lake are a tad limited due to hedgerow, but we all enjoyed the train ride to Bala and back. There are nice views of the surrounding countryside. We opted for a cabin with open windows and it was really nice. We didn't stay and explore Bala, we waited for around 20 minutes and then made the return journey.
All in all I think it's really good value for money. It's a nice simple train journey and filled a day out for us.
