A hidden gem for families, children and dogs

点评：We had the most wonderful family camping trip at Bircham Windmill this weekend with our two small children and our dogs. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome — Elly truly couldn’t do enough to help and went above and beyond to make our stay special.
The facilities were amazing, with spotless, clean showers and beautifully spacious pitches. The freedom for the children to safely play in the sandpit and play area, while also seeing the animals, made the whole experience magical for them.
The tea rooms were another highlight — we enjoyed delicious breakfasts every morning and absolutely had to revisit our all-time favourite carrot and coriander soup for lunch, which was just as incredible as we remembered! We also treated ourselves to cakes and sausage rolls from the bakery inside the mill, and they were absolutely to die for.
What made this visit even more special was that I last visited Bircham Windmill over 20 years ago as a six-year-old child, and returning now with my own young children felt like a real full-circle moment.
A must-visit and a must-stay — we can’t wait to return again!
