点评：Doorwerth Castle is a medieval moated castle that was rebuilt after being destroyed in World War II. The castle is surrounded by a moat and features a nice vegetable garden that you can explore as well.
Visitors receive information material available in German and English for the tour through the building. There are quite a few rooms to visit, some of which are furnished. The rooms are connected by numerous staircases, some of which are fairly narrow.
I found the internal museums a bit disappointing—they were rather small, had few exhibits, and the descriptions were only in Dutch. Overall, you should plan to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours here for your visit.
A tip if you arrive by car: Be careful when using a sat nav / GPS. We entered the parking lot as our destination, and shortly before arriving, the GPS tried to direct us onto a bicycle path instead of the main access road to the castle.
According to the website, you should book a ticket in advance; why that was necessary wasn't clear to me, as the castle wasn't that crowded during our visit. We had bought a ticket online and received the admission tickets as a PDF.
