点评:If not for my family being there, I would've been much more upset. Here's what happened:
I was paying for tickets—myself and a friend—and asked for my change. The ticket lady gave me the correct change, but then immediately said I owed her 50 more RM. I said, "No way—you wouldn't have given me change for a 50 without me first giving you the 50!" She insisted. Foolishly, I gave it to her. Then she asked for another 50. I had enough. My wife said, "She's just dishonest—let's go." I'm thankful my kids were there, or I would've called the police and used some unsavory words.
Be vigilant with your money there. Video record your transaction if you can.
On top of that, the price board was a nightmare to read—so many packages and options that it was genuinely confusing to figure out how much entrance fees actually were. And for what's on offer, the prices are relatively steep compared to other attractions in the area.
Beyond that one dishonest person, the rest of the staff were decent. But the place itself doesn't feel happy. The enclosures seem small—especially for the other animals. I saw a macaque in an inhumanely small cage, looking sad. I wanted to free him. The large feeding platform is spacious, but the inner blocks are pathetically small. Both feedings were cool and they even let you participate—but in hindsight, it probably wasn't okay.
We went on a weekday, and the heat was brutal—blaring sun, no rain, amplified temps. That kept visitors away, or maybe the porous conditions of the place did that. Either way, the feedings were just okay for me.
A "cool feature" was holding and photographing a baby crocodile. I have cool pics, but then I thought: Would I want that experience for my own baby? Nope. It's not right.
My kids' highlight? Running around with the bunnies and feeding them. That part was sweet. We stayed an hour or so, and a creepy feeling came over me about the whole place. I wanted to leave right then and there, but my kids were enthralled with the bunnies—and any parent can attest how difficult it is to remove your children when they've finally found something of interest, right?
After dwelling on it and deep contemplation, I probably shouldn't have brought my family here. You make your own call. But if you visit—watch out for that ticket lady's scam. 🐊
