A very touching and beautiful memorial
Battle of Britain Memorial的点评
点评：We were recently taken to see this very touching memorial by relatives who live in the area.
A beautiful spot overlooking the white cliffs of Dover.
Great to walk around the grounds, see some of the old fighting planes there, see the lovely black granite wall with the names of those who fought in the battle , many who paid the Supreme Sacrifice.
There is a great statue of a lone pilot looking out to sea where a lot of the battle took place, a battle that changed the course of the war.
Then you can go inside and see the SCRAMBLE EXPERIENCE an audio visual introduction of the battle. Lots of info boards to read and learn from.
There is a good well stocked shop selling assorts of articles in relation to the battle and a good cafe with great views over the Channel.
Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and learnt a lot. A must place to see when your in the area.
