Ventnor Botanic Garden的点评
点评：Visited on a pleasant day at the end of March. Heavily signed parking restrictions in the car park
Used the cafe ( so parking should have been free)and entered car registration on the tablet - YOU CANNOT REVIEW THE NUMBER YOU ENTERED. Cafe a bit slow but food was nice.
Was busy with people waiting to collect home educated children.
Decided after lunch to visit the gardens , which were nice enough for a stroll and if you live on IOW or are a frequent visitor , you can visit all year.
Don’t bother to go to the nice looking tropical house at the top - just stuffy and scruffy.
Infuriated once home to receive a parking charge , called the gardens helpful but quite clear it was far from an isolated incident , appealed sent copies of tickets slow response , cancelled as a gesture of goodwill!!!!!!!!!
Real shame the gardens are okay and need public support to maintain annd improve but this kind of experience means we are unlikely to ever visit again.
Maybe the garden owners need to look carefully at if the parking controls are wholly necessary and that the opportunity to review the reg number entered is available to avoid .
