Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project的点评
点评：Four of us visited the Kosgoda Turtle Conservation Centre, and we all absolutely loved the experience.
As the centre warns on its website, our tuk-tuk driver initially tried to take us to a different turtle hatchery, even though we showed him photos of the correct one. We had to be quite firm about being taken to this specific centre, but it was definitely worth it.
We paid LKR 2,000 each for a short but informative talk about the turtles and the conservation work they do, followed by LKR 5,000 each for the hatchling release. The releases take place between 6:15 pm and 6:45 pm, and it was an unforgettable experience. We were each given five baby turtles to release into the sea.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about protecting the turtles. You can really see how much they care about their work.
We booked through their website, and all communication was via WhatsApp. They were responsive, helpful, and made the whole process very easy.
I would highly recommend visiting this conservation centre if you’re in the area—it’s a wonderful way to support an important conservation project while enjoying a truly memorable experience.
