Spectacular house, lovely gardens and nice cafe.

点评：We visited with our young family on a rainy summers day.
The mansion is beautiful to oversee both outside and inside with the basement level in particular worth an explore. The antiques room was also fascinating - it's hidden away in a corner upstairs.
Our kids loved the games that the organisers had put in the gardens (egg and spoon race, football, a hay bale maze etc) which was a nice touch. The mirrored house hidden in the foliage a short walk from the house was also interesting in a unique way. We also found the coffee shop very well stocked.
I've scored 4 stars not 5 stars as our kids did get bored sooner than we would have liked - while the games entertained them inside the house there was no real "discovery" game for them as can be found in some places (where you have to spot things per room) and the lack of a proper playground, while a niche ask, did not help.
All in all though a beautiful place and we're pleased we visited.
Top tip: From the road this country mansion looks absolutely spectacular - truly breathtaking - so don't miss that view.
