We booked a private tour with William from Normandy D-Day Tours (just my husband and me), and it was phenomenal. This experience alone made the trip from Wisconsin to France worthwhile.
William has exhaustive knowledge of WWII and the D-Day landings. He used clear, helpful maps to explain battle strategies in a way that was easy to follow and brought the history to life. He customized the entire day for us as Americans, focusing on key American sites and sharing heroic stories that made the events feel personal and vivid.
When rain hit, he adjusted the schedule without missing a beat so we stayed comfortable and still covered everything that mattered.
He’s easy to listen to—engaging, clear, and never overwhelming.
What stood out most is William’s genuine, devout respect for veterans. He has clearly poured time and care into making sure older WWII veterans are properly honored, and that reverence added real depth to the tour.
