点评：We recently embarked on a memorable ten-day safari experience with Roy’s Safari in Tanzania. Before leaving, we were well informed as to what to expect from Roy’s state-side representative, Susan Wood. We chose the five venues where we would stay in two-day increments along the way, including Serena Hotel and the Lion’s Paw, both modern accommodations, as well as three rustic camp accommodations, which were representative of what you would expect for a more authentic safari experience, but more like glamping. The staff at all our lodgings were charming, friendly, and helpful. Many even went to the extent of memorizing our names before we arrived. The food, often prepared by chefs, was very good, whether we ate at the camps or were given lunch boxes to take along for our day excursions.
Thanks to our well-informed and knowledgeable guide, Salvatory Mrema, we were able to have a full experience of Tanzania’s varied wildlife. The only elusive animal on our trip was the rhinoceros, who was more reclusive during that time of year. Lions, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, elephants, and wildebeest were abundant, especially in the Serengeti. Salvatory was exceptional in sharing information on the flora, animals, culture, history, etc., in addition to being very caring and witty. Overall, thanks to Susan, Nelson, and Salvatory, my husband, daughter, friend, and I had an amazing experience getting to know Tanzania, Africa, that we will never forget.
