Wow! What an amazing experience.
Pencarrow House and Gardens的点评
点评：My partner and myself adore beautifully furnished and atmospheric historic houses in the UK and overseas.
Pencarrow House is one of our favourites anywhere, and is an utter delight to experience. The normal house tour is an hour and is a tour de force of fascinating interiors that are displayed with fabulous furnishings, collections and object d’art from years of family ownership.
Visitors will never forget their visit where each successive room has the wow factor.
From the historic entrance halls, the state saloons, the dining room bedecked in silver to the upstairs bedrooms, alluring nursery with toys in abundance and the French boudoir, the place is a gem.
NOW, for years I’ve wanted to see more of the house, and amazingly the present owner, the most charming, Baronet of the Molesworth st. Aubyn family offers a very rare opportunity to experience the private family rooms and the attics.
So for extra cost you can book a visit that includes…Show rooms, Family wing rooms and the Attics and includes a cream tea in the intimate family dining room…this experience is unrivalled in UK stately homes.
Our 4 hour tour ( which is how long it lasts, was led by the delightful Suzie who shares our passion for the house).
Beware though, the attics feature warts and all and show how difficult it is to maintain such a mansion,
Even if you take the standard hour tour visitors can then enjoy the romantic gardens and the courtyard tea room with its superb cakes and pastries.
Go now and enjoy a day you’ll never forget (but do pay extra for the long tour, and you must book beforehand!)
