A beautiful place to spend a few hours with the family, particularly if you have small children.

点评：I have been an occasional visitor to Wildwood for about 15 years and when I first started going there, there was always a lot to see and do making it a great family day out. Sadly over the years I noticed some deterioration in the park, particularly in the squirrel walkway. I was very happy on my more recent visits to see the walkway had been completely renovated and now includes a large raised platform in the centre, a larger, longer, more accessible walkway and built in seating on the platform which allows visitors to sit and watch the squirrels or to learn about them from the keepers. I have been 3 times in recent months and have been able to see red squirrels running around in the undergrowth, in the trees and at the feeding stations every time. The elevated platform that is closer to the hanging tree branches really adds an element of feeling closer to nature. The otter enclosure has also been renovated and looks a wonderful space for the otters to live and play. On my last few visits I have been lucky enough to see squirrels, bears, wolves, boar and on one occasion the otters. As it is a wild, naturally styles habitat I appreciate that seeing the animals isn't always guaranteed but I found that if you visit around feeding times, you are more likely to see lots of animal activity.
