A fantastic wholesome family day out

点评：We went with a 10 year old and 2 year old and we were thrilled. It really is a beautiful gem hidden in the countryside with a lot of wholesome entertainment. We arrived at lunchtime but wish we’d got there earlier as it could easily be a full day. We were able to make use of the disabled discount which meant it was about £30 for our family- truly amazing value. Our little boy was mesmerised by the trains and wooden toys. Our elder daughter enjoyed the rides but also the mini golf and all the button pressing. The play carriages were immaculate and excellent for open ended play. I really wish we lived closer.
Another great thing we noticed was GF and DF options on the menu. We didn’t eat ourselves but saw some tasty looking food on other tables.
A final tip is to get the train to the riverside picnic area. It’s something we missed before we ate but would do next time.
